Policies,Rules and Regulations
These policies, rules, and regulations will guide procedures from check-in and room usage to health, safety, and security protocols,
Management will highly appreciate your collaboration in abiding by these policies, rules, and regulations to ensure a peaceful and safe stay for our Guests.
Room Tariffs and Taxes
Room rates typically include taxes, and none will be charged over and above the quoted rates. These rates will be advertised on the SOGU website and updated occasionally.
Settlement of Guest Bills
As a policy, accommodation bills will be billed and settled at the time of booking, and any additional charges will be settled when checking out. In some instances, guests can pay for their accommodation during check-in. SOGU reserves the right to deny check-in for any guest who has not settled his/her bill.
The preferred option is to settle bills electronically using a credit or debit card through the SOGU website link, www.sogucomforts.com. However, cash will be accepted at check-in only in exceptional cases.
Cancellation of bookings will be accepted up to 24 hours before the booked date. In the event the guest fails to appear in the Guesthouse by 6 p.m. of the booked day without making prior arrangements despite making a reservation, SOGU shall reserve the right to charge one day’s fee for the room.
Guest Luggage Storage Policy
SOGU offers lock-up facilities to store and keep your luggage for short periods, not lasting more than a week. While precautions will be taken to ensure the guest’s luggage is kept safely, SOGU will not accept liability for any losses beyond the guest’s room.
Check-in and Check-out Procedures
Only a valid credit/debit card used to book a room will guarantee that booking. In instances where SOGU has consented to cash payment, cash should be paid upfront for the room, and any costs associated with the guest’s stay should be settled during check-out. Check-in for any day will typically commence from 11:00 a.m., except where arrangements have been made with management for an earlier time. The guest will be shown his/her room and provided with the room key after check-in.
Check-out procedures should be completed before 10:00 a.m., and all bills settled before then. The room key should be handed to the desk before the guest leaves. Failure to leave the room before the stipulated time above will incur additional charges, except where prior arrangements have been made. Loss of keys will also attract additional charges.
Noise Policy
Guests are expected to be respectful of other guests by keeping noise levels down within the premises to ensure a positive guest experience.
Property Damage Policy
In the event a guest causes damage to guesthouse property or property assets, the guest will be expected to make a report to the desk and an assessment made of the extent of the damage. The full cost of the damage will be charged to the guest’s account.
SOGU reserves the right to refuse or accept guests who grossly violated the Guesthouse’s Rules and Regulations during the last stay by damaging the premises’ or guests’ property or by inflicting damage on other guests, employees, or other persons staying in the Guesthouse or in other way violated the stay of other guests or the functioning of the premises.
Relations between guests and employees
The conduct between management and guests shall remain professional at all times. Unbecoming conduct, including abuse of staff by guests, will not be tolerated. Management has the right to remove guests from the property for such infractions.
Government Rules and Regulations
Guests will be expected to observe government rules and regulations as long as they are within the Guesthouse premises. Behaviors threatening national security, such as terrorism or crime, will be reported to the police.
Photography and Video Policies
Taking personal photos within the grounds of SOGU, excluding nude photos of guests, is permitted but should be limited to that purpose only. SOGU will not be responsible for photographs taken for purposes other than personal use.
